Applications of Steam iron 

A steam iron is a type of iron that uses steam to remove wrinkles from fabric. It typically has a water tank that is heated to produce steam, which is then released through the soleplate onto the fabric. Steam irons have a series of holes in the soleplate to allow steam to escape and penetrate the fabric, making it easier to smooth out wrinkles. Steam iron is a household appliance used to press clothes to remove wrinkles and create a smooth, pressed appearance. It uses heat and steam to smooth out fabric fibers, making clothes look neat and presentable. Steam irons are commonly used on a variety of fabrics including cotton, linen, and silk, and can also be used to remove tough creases and soften fabrics. They can be used for pressing dress shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, and other types of clothing.

Care and maintenance of Steam Iron

Empty the water tank after each use.
Clean the soleplate with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive materials.
Store the iron in a dry place to prevent rust.
Descale the iron regularly to remove mineral buildup that can clog the steam vents and affect performance.
If the iron is not going to be used for an extended period, unplug it and store it with the water tank empty.
Replace the anti-scale filter if it becomes clogged.
Do not iron over buttons, zippers, or other embellishments that can damage the soleplate.

Using a steam iron is simple

Fill the water tank with distilled water and plug in the iron to heat it up.
Set the temperature control to the correct setting for the fabric you will be ironing (refer to the care label or the manual).
Wait for the iron to heat up and produce steam.
Place the garment on the ironing board and start ironing, using the steam button as needed.
Make sure to keep the iron moving and not leave it in one spot for too long to avoid burning the fabric.
After use, turn off the iron and unplug it. Let it cool down before emptying the water tank and storing it.
